Originating over 2,000 years ago in Greece, Feta is a ripened and brined soft cheese traditionally made from sheep's milk or from a mixture of sheep and goat's milk, but also from buffalo milk!
L Dairy’s Buffalo Feta has a perfectly balanced tangy flavor and rich creamy texture, making it a bit different from its goat’s milk cousins. Our Buffalo Feta can be used as a table cheese, in salads such as Greek salad, or served with olives and sprinkled with some aromatic herbs such as oregano. It’s creaminess allows it to also be served cooked (often grilled), as part of a sandwich, in omelets, on pizzas (goes very well with spinach!) or in many other dishes.
